I’m sure you have tons of questions about how an Ever After senior session works.  Hopefully you will find some answers here!

What makes an Ever After senior experience different from all the rest?

There are many, many photographers out there trying to get your attention.  Here are a few things that set me apart:

  • Experience: I've been in business for 14 years, and in that time I've been able to streamline the experience for my clients. I will guide you through every step, anticipating your needs before you even know what they are!

  • Stunning photographs: I've developed a bright, sharp, timeless style that my seniors and parents love. Take a look through my galleries, if you love what you see, you can be assured that I can create the same style for you or your senior.

  • Fast: I don't know of a photographer that is faster than I am! I'll have your entire gallery of images retouched, printed and ready for you to see in less than five days.

  • Exquisite products: I ensure that all of my prints and products are not only beautifully crafted but will last for generations, with archival grade papers and inks.

  • Custom experience: I work closely with my seniors to craft a set of images that showcases WHO THEY ARE and not just what they look like. Together we'll figure out locations, clothing, and props to tell their story in pictures.

How much can I expect to spend?

The portrait session and final images that you select is entirely up to you.  There are no order minimums to meet, and you can order as much or as little as you wish from the a la carte menu or purchase a discounted collection.  I have some clients who come in and pick out a few favorite portraits. They’ll spend $500 and love those portraits to bits! I have other clients who come in and buy MULTIPLE rooms of wall art, big beautiful albums, prints to share with friends and family and they’ll spend $3,000 or more. There’s really something for everyone.

You do not have to make any final decisions until the day of your ordering appointment.  Please check out my pricing page for more information.

Do I have to meet you for a consultation?

A consultation isn’t required, but I do highly recommend it.  This way I can show you examples of my portrait art and work with you to select the perfect Ever After session for your senior portrait experience.  Together, we’ll plan every detail of your session including locations, clothing, props and products.

However, if meeting with me is not possible, I can go over everything you need to know over the phone.  I want to make sure that your session is everything you want and more, and I strive to make this experience one that you will never forget.

It seems like you only photograph girls.  What about guys?

Yes, I photograph guys!  I love showing off their style, whatever it may be – sports, urban, retro, skateboarding, fashion. Whatever your style is I love to focus on having fun and creating great images.

What days of the week do you do your sessions?

Sessions take place in the morning or afternoon on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Where will my session take place?

We can go (almost) anywhere your heart desires!  The session fee covers locations within a 25 mile radius of San Antonio.  I’ve photographed at local parks and museums, downtown, and on the River Walk.  If you want something a little less urban, we can head to outlying towns such as Gruene, Boerne or even Canyon Lake.  Many of my clients have private locations that are special to them, and of course I love to discover new places!

From  overgrown fields to urban streets to custom locations, I create the senior experience that YOU want.

How many outfits can I bring?

You can bring as MANY as you want!  My sessions are based on time, NOT on the number of outfits you are limited to.  In general, I photograph 2 outfits per hour, however this is entirely dependent on you.  The more time you spend getting ready between outfits, the fewer outfits we will get to, and vice versa.

I encourage you to bring LOTS of options – I will help you select the best variety of looks to make your experience the best it can be.  Be sure to check out my Pinterest style guide to see some great fashion options for your senior portraits. Click HERE for girls, and HERE for guys.

Can I post my pictures to Instagram?

If course!  And unlike a lot of other photographers, I'm totally fine with it if you don't tag me, don't leave my logo on it, and add a filter.  They are yours, after all!

How long do you keep my image files?

Non-ordered images are removed from my system following your ordering appointment – I do not archive files which are not ordered.  All ordered images are archived for a period of 3 years.

I want to wear my hair two different ways – can I do that at my session?

If you want to wear your hair in two completely different styles – such as straight for one look and curly for another – I encourage you to book two separate sessions.  This also gives you the flexibility of going to two completely different locations to get the most from your senior session.

If you simply want to change up your look a little during your session – such as an up-do or a braid for certain outfits – you absolutely can do that during any of my Ever After sessions.  I LOVE variety and love to show off your different looks.  Furthermore, you can choose to book a stylist for your hair and make-up.  At your consultation I will go over the available options.

What is the best time of year for my session?

The sooner the better!  Waiting until late spring sounds like a great idea - beautiful flowers, green trees, gorgeous weather.  But the reality is that here in South Texas we frequently have wet, dreary and unpredictable spring weather.  Add to that the deadline of graduation, and you could end up with an anxiety-ridden senior portrait experience!

I encourage my seniors to do their portraits in the Fall if at all possible, giving us plenty of time to get everything photographed, designed, ordered and delivered before graduation, because it will be here before you know it!

I have a few more questions, how can I reach you?

Glad you asked! You can send a message via my contact page or feel free to give me a call at 210-602-1490.  I can't wait to hear from you!

xoxo, Leah
